Oct 06, 2017 (newstodate): The Danish aircraft maintenance company Aeroservice is to pull out from Ireland's Cork Airport as the current 2017 summer schedule comes to an end.
-No viable business case has been established for continuing our activities at Cork after WOW Air ceases its flight operations, says Andrew Djurhuus, Aeroservice CEO and Accountable Manager.
-We have indeed been looking round for other potential customers at Cork to continue working at the airport, but to no avail.
Starting from May 2017, the Icelandic LCC WOW Air commenced flights between Cork, in Ireland, and Keflavik, supported by the Danish aircraft maintenance company Aeroservice, already a provider to WOW Air at its home base at Keflavik Airport.
But - closing down at Cork, WOW Air is instead consolidating its Irish operations at Dublin, offering access from the Irish market to nine US destinations via Keflavik, on Iceland.
