Oct 09, 2017 (newstodate): After a tender process opened in 2012, Korean Air emerged as the new owner of the Czech carrier CSA.
It was not to last long..
After a period of red figures by CSA, Korean Air had decided to divest of its ownership in the Czech carrier, and its 44 percent stake in CSA has now been acquired by the Czech charter carrier Travel Service.
Travel Service already held 34 percent of the shares, and the company has also taken over the Czech state's stake of 19.7 percent of the shares, leaving Travel Service reigning supreme with 98 percent of the company.
CSA's fleet comprises one Airbus A330, nine A319, three ATR 42 and five ATR 72 aircraft.
Korean Air has been online at Prague Airport since May 15, 2004, code-sharing with CSA on many routes.
