A total of 6,812 tonnes was handled at the airport, an increase by a solid 13,9 percent, y-o-y.
Exports beat all expectations with a 17.2 percent increase to 4,466 tonnes, while imports were also up by eight percent to 2,346 tonnes.
During January-September 2017, the airport has thus handled 52,984 tonnes of cargo, growing 10.2 percent, including 34,115 tonnes of exports, up 10.2 percent, and 18.869 tonnes of imports, also up 10 percent.
2017 may end with a new record at Billund Airport, overtaking the current all-time high in 2013 when 63,420 tonnes of cargo were handled after an increase by 2.8 percent, y-o-y.
