Oct 04, 2017 (newstodate): The Sharjah-based low-cost carrier Air Arabia is now online at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The carrier has launched service between Agadir and Stockholm, offering two weekly rotations with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Earlier this year, the carrier launched flights on another new route to Scandinavia, connecting Denmark's Copenhagen Airport with Agadir also with two rotations on the route.
In both cases, Air Arabia will compete with Norwegian that is already operating on routes to Agadir from Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
From November 4, 2012, Air Arabia's Moroccan JV, Air Arabia Morocco launched non-stop flights between Marrakesh, Morocco, and Billund in Denmark, with a weekly rotation using Airbus A320 aircraft - but suspended services gain after only few flights citing low market demand.
