Jan 30, 2017 (newstodate): The US president's ban on entry into the USA of nationals from seven Islamic countries is creating havoc not only for airline passengers and airports, but also for airlines.
Many airlines operate aircraft with crews of mixed nationality and if any of these crew members do not qualify for entry into the USA under the new regime, this will require changes in the cockpit and cabin crew scheduling.
One airline in case is Emirates that boasts of a truly global recruitment policy.
Emirates has thus had to replace all crew members on flights to the USA holding passports issued by the seven Islamic countries, and Etihad is also now reconsidering its flight crew scheduling.
