Jan 09, 2017 (newstodate): The Latvian charter and ACMI carrier Smartlynx has added a new airline customer to its portfolio: the Swedish carrier Novair that operates for the Apollo Group of tour operators.
Under wet-lease agreement with Novair, SmartLynx is to place one Airbus A321 aircraft with its customer that is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.
The agreement runs through the period March 2017 April 2017, with the aircraft based at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
Novair needs the aircrft to fill the gap until it takes delivery of its first own new A321neo aircraft this summer.
Based at Latvia's Riga Airport, SmartLynx today operates a fleet comprising 12 Airbus A320 and, since May 2016, one Airbus 321 aircraft, but plans have been revealed for adding more aircraft in 2017.
