Jan 01, 2017 (newstodate): Bombardier managed to keep its promise of delivering the second CS300 aircraft to its launch customer, Latvia's airBaltic by the turn of the year.
The aircraft lifted off from Montreal Mirabel shortly before midnight local time on the last day of 2016 and arrived in Riga early on the first day of 2017 after a seven hours 11 minutes non-stop flight covering 6,582 km between the Canadian and Latvian airports.
The first CS300 aircraft landed at Riga Airport on November 30 and performed its first commercial fight on December 14, 2016, on the route between Riga and Amsterdam.
airBaltic will have a total of eight CS300 aircraft in the fleet by end of 2017
