Jan 19, 2017 (newstodate): With the first flight to Helsinki, Finland, on October 10, 2016, Qatar Airways rounded off its full offering of Nordic services.
The daily Qatar flights to Helsinki have so far been operated with Airbus A320 aircraft - but the response in the market is now driving its replacement with larger aircraft.
Starting from September 16, 2017, the carrier will thus operate the route with Boeing 787 aircraft offering 254 seats capacity.
The carrier made its first entry into Scandinavia with flights to Stockholm Arlanda from November 27, 2007, followed by the opening of services to Copenhagen, in Denmark, from March 30, 2010, and to Oslo, Norway, from October 5, 2011.
Qatar Airways now has a total of 38 weekly flights between Doha and the four Nordic capital airports.
