Jan 27, 2017 (newstodate): The Icelandic carrier WOW Air is planning for flights to Israel, Israeli media claim.
While WOW Air has not published any official info on this, the Israeli sources say that the carrier has applied for rights to start flights between Keflavik Airport and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport, with six weekly rotations on the route.
The launch of services would be in June 2017, and with the new route WOW Air would attract traffic between Israel and the USA, with a transit stop at Keflavik Airport.
If realized, the WOW Air flights would compete with El Al, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Air Canada, all in the air between Israel and North America.
