Jan 18, 2017 (newstodate): Doha-based Qatar Airways is again to increase frequency on its route to Copenhagen, Denmark.
From Spring 2017, the carrier will add two more weekly flights on the route, bringing the total to 16 rotations which will see Qatar Airways up to three rotations on some days of the week.
Qatar Airways first entered Scandinavia with a route between Doha and Stockholm, Sweden, launched on November 27, 2007, adding a route between Doha and Copenhagen, Denmark, from March 30, 2010, and between Doha and Oslo from October 5, 2011.
Initially, Qatar Airways offered four weekly rotations between Copenhagen and Doha using Airbus A319 aircraft, upgrading to Airbus A330-300 from November, 2010, going up to six rotations from February 2011, and to daily operations from spring 2011, increasing to 11 weekly flights from March 29, 2015, and last going up again to two daily frequencies from December 2, 2015.
All Qatar Airways flights between Doha and Copenhagen are now performed with Boeing 787 aircraft.
