Jan 17, 2017 (newstodate): DHL Express Turkey, from January 1, 2017, headed by Danish national Claus Lassen, is heading for extensive growth.
Although Turkey has been experiencing an over-all decline in its export volumes in 2016, the country's e-trade is growing continuously and reached about five percent growth in 2016, accounting for almost a third of all export shipments from Turkey.
As DHL Express Turkey CEO, Mr Lassen has taken over-all responsibility for the company in Turkey with some 1,000 staff.
Before his turn in Denmark as CEO from 2010, Mr Lassen served with DHL Express as Area Director Eastern Europe based in Zagreb January 2009-June 2010, and VP Sales and Marketing CIS and South East Europe based in Moscow September 2007-April 2009.
