Jan 06, 2017 (newstodate): With now two Bombardier CS300 in the fleet and growing to six aircraft by the end of the year, the Latvian carrier airBaltic is now ready to put the new aircraft type into its scheduled route network.
Starting from the coming summer schedule from March 26, 2017, the CS300 will replace Boeing 737 aircraft on a varying number of frequencies on so far 28 routes from Riga Airport, with the flight to Copenhagen Airport as the only destination in Scandinavia.
Among the destinations to be served fully or, in most cases, partially with the new aircraft is Copenhagen are Berlin, London, Moscow, Keflavik, Baku and Tbilisi.
airBaltic is today the only carrier with the CS300 aircraft, the first of which entered commercial service with the carrier on December 14, 2016.
airBaltic has placed orders for a total of 20 CS300 aircraft.
According to delivery plans the next CS300 operator, Korean Air will take delivery of its first CS300 aircraft by mid-2017, and will have seven aircraft in the fleet by the end of the year.
