Jan 18, 2017 (newstodate): Yesterday's news about the forthcoming opening of a new route by Air India between Delhi and Copenhagen, in Denmark, may not be entirely substantiated by facts.
The news was broken in the form of a twitter message, also carried on Air India's website, but the issue seems to be still under consideration.
According to Aviation India citing Ashwani Lohani, Air India CMD, the carrier has presented a tentative list with the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation comprising flights to six new destinations to be opened in 2017.
Featured on this list is Stockholm or Copenhagen, seemingly leaving the eventual choice of a Scandinavian destination still undecided.
Other destinations on the list are Washington, Toronto, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt, and an unnamed destination in Africa.
