Sep 27, 2016 (newstodate): Cargo growth has dampened somewhat at Sweden's Malmo Airport during January-August 2016.
In the first eight months of this year, the airport handled a total of 19,536 tonnes of cargo which was a growth by four percent, y-o-y, according to Swedavia's figures.
Generating the cargo growth at the airport is the Russian carrier ABC Airlines' two weekly calls at Malmo Sturup Airport as an en-route stop on the route between Amsterdam and Moscow with a Boeing 747-8F freighter since April 2014, as well as the freighter traffic by the Volga-Dnepr subsidiary Atran's weekly Boeing 737-400F freighter flight since January 9, 2014.
