Sep 14, 2016 (newstodate): At long last, the new Ukrainian charter carrier Anda Air has got the final green light to commence commercial operations.
The carrier will commence operations shortly, starting out with charter operations and working towards adding scheduled services as well within the first two years of operations.
In the fleet is now one leased ex-Swiftair MD-83 that was delivered on July 19, 2016, but has been grounded till now pending the final lifting of the red tape that kept the company from starting business over.
Flights to Albania, Bulgaria and Georgia will be on the schedule, the company says.
Anda Air was registered in Kiev by the end of 2015, founded by former head of Dart Airline Serhiy Shamenko and Heorhiy Avanesov, with Mr. Shamenko serving as Anda Air CEO.
