Sep 12, 2016 (newstodate): Lithuanian Airports, the state-owned holding company since July 2014 managing the country's three international airport at Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga, is now calling to the first investor conference at Vilnius Airport on September 21, 2016.
The conference will be headed by Arijandas Sliupas, Lithuanian Vice-minister of Transport and Communications, and the profile of the three airports including information on traffic development, new routes, and investments until the end of 2018 will be presented by Gediminas Almantas, Lithuanian Airports CEO.
Other officials will present information on concession details in the forthcoming tender process.
-We are indeed seeing encouraging interest from potential investors, and so far 70-80 participants have announced their participation, says Gediminas Almantas.
The intentions of the coming process is not to seek a privatization of the Lithuanian airports, but enhance the optimization of the commercial potentials to sustain the continued development of the airports.
Bidders with substantial international experience will be invited to file their offers for the concession to manage the three airports at Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga, and the successful concessionaire will take on the responsibility for the commercial development of the airports from January 1, 2017.
