Sep 08, 2016 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is again announcing a new route to Iceland's Keflavik Airport.
Starting from March 26, 2017, the carrier will start operations on the route between Katowice, in Poland, and Keflavik, offering two weekly rotations with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Wizz Air is expanding its operations at Katowice by stationing a sixth aircraft at the airport, allowing also for opening of other new routes, including flights to Lisbon, Malta and Catania.
The new Wizz Air route to Iceland will be the carrier's third, after the carrier first entered the Icelandic market with flights from Gdansk, in Poland, with two weekly flights from June 19, 2015, rapidly increased to three weekly rotations. And from May 13, 2016, the carrier also added flights from Warsaw, in Poland, to Keflavik Airport with two weekly rotations.
