Sep 21, 2016 (newstodate): The Nordic door-to-door express delivery company Jetpak keeps an eye on the growth potentials in the e-commerce segments.
-In our business model, we are not tuned to handling of bulks of low-cost e-shipments to consumers, leaving this to other operators, says Kenneth Marx, Jetpak Group CEO.
-Instead, we are increasingly turning our attention to the market for distribution of hi-end products to customers - valuable shipments that can sustain a higher distribution costs, compared to the flow of lower-value products in channels operated by e.g. the integrators.
-We do not intend to compete with national postal companies, but as we see a significant future potential in this segment we will seek cooperation with partners, including the postal companies, to supplement their offerings with our special handling services, says Mr Marx.
Set up in 1979 and owned from 1995 till 2006 by SAS, Jetpak offers door-to-door express deliveries, primarily within 12 hours throughout the Nordic region.
Jetpak Group was acquired by Polaris Private Equity DK in 2006 and now operates into more than 230 destinations on more than 3,500 daily flights in Europe as well as operating more than 700 trucks in Scandinavia alone.
