Sep 14, 2016 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport has seen its cargo volumes down by 11.9 percent, y-o-y, so far into 2016.
A total of 8,399 tonnes has been handled at the airport from January to August 2016, and in August volumes were down 25.7 percent, y-o-y, to a mere 1,019 tonnes.
The sustained decline is mainly caused by a steep fall in air cargo imports that were down by 28.5 percent, y-o-y, during the eight months of 2016, to 4,796 tonnes.
Air cargo exports have fared better, with an increase by 45.5 percent to 2,478 tonnes.
