Sep 28, 2016 (newstodate): Yet another low-cost carrier has announced plans for launching flights to Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport from summer 2017.
New on the runway will be the Dutch carrier Transavia with flights on new routes to Stockholm from Munich and Eindhoven.
The flights to Stockholm from Munich will start from March 26, 2017, with three weekly rotations, while flights from Eindhoven will commence from April 3, 2017, with four weekly rotations.
On the route from Munich to Stockholm, Transavia will be competing with SAS, Norwegian and Lufthansa, while Transavia will have it all for itself on the route between Eindhoven and Stockholm.
Transavia is already serving Scandinavia with flights to Copenhagen from the same two destinations.
The carrier operates a fleet of 43 Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
