Sep 16, 2016 (newstodate): The Bulgarian carrier BH Air is airing fresh plans for establishing flights to the USA already from next summer.
The carrier has now been granted rights by DOT to start scheduled and charter flights to New York and is now applying for slots to operate into New York JFK Airport where it has already performed a series of test flights.
Plans are to introduce services between Sofia and New York with two or three weekly rotations using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Already in 2014, plans were surfacing for start of flights to the USA, with both New York and Chicago on the wishing list.
