Sep 21, 2016 (newstodate): The Danish air broker company Blackbird Air Charter is seeing brisk growth in the executive and VIP air transport segments.
-This segment is growing substantially, and our activities have been widely spread, geographically, from the USA to Central Asia, says Ole Christiansen, Blackbird Air Charter CEO.
-Contributing to the significant growth in this segment are a number of factors. Apart from customized and flexible travel arrangements, today's need for enhanced security is definitely playing a role as well.
-One new asset for Blackbird is the delivery of our latest new aircraft, an AW139 helicopter seating up to 12 passengers or eight in VIP configuration, but easily converted to small cargo shipments transportation. The aircraft will be placed on our partner KN Helicopters' AOC by the start of October and will then be ready for operations.
-Activities passenger aircraft segment remain stable, while we are still awaiting a break-through in the cargo market that remains part of our business plan. This market is rather demanding as airlines are increasing available cargo capacity on new passenger aircraft that will also allow for opening more and more point-to-point routes that widen the options for cargo customers, says Mr Christiansen.
Set up by January 1, 2015, Blackbird Air Charter with HQs at Vejle in West Denmark now employs 4.5 staff.
