Sep 29, 2016 (newstodate): Damco, part of the Maersk Group, is to have a new man at the top from October 1, 2016.
Newly appointed is Klaus Rud Sejling, current Head of East West Trades in Maersk Line and with an unbroken record of service in the Group since July 1999 when he joined the company as Personal Assistant to the CEO.
Stepping down from the position as Damco CEO from January 2014 is Hanne B. Sorensen, who will leave the Maersk Group after 22 years of service.
Following the strategic decision to split the Group's activities into two entities, announced earlier this month, Damco will be part of the newly created Transport & Logistics division.
