Sep 13, 2016 (newstodate): Passenger traffic statistics from Scandinavia's three capital airport show sustained growth in August 2016.
Denmark's Copenhagen Airport remains the largest airport in Scandinavia, measured in passenger figures, and reports a total of 2,749,404 passengers, up 6.7 percent y-o-y.
Second was Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport with 2,390,158 passengers, increasing 5.0 percent in August 2016.
Trailing closely behind in total passenger volumes was Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport that grew its volume by 6.02 percent, y-o-y, to 2,299,676 passengers.
Measured in proportion of passengers on international traffic, Copenhagen Airport outperforms its Scandinavian competitors with 95 percent of all passengers traveling on international flights, Stockholm Arlanda comes second with 82 percent, while Oslo Gardermoen has only 60 percent of passengers on international flights.
