Sep 30, 2016 (newstodate): Cargolux has named a new cargo GSSA in the three Baltic markets: Strike Aviation LT, with headquarters at Vilnius, Lithuania.
The contract was signed earlier in September, and after final preparations Strike Aviation is now fully prepared to serve the Luxembourg-based cargo carrier.
-We are certainly very excited about being appointed GSSA for a prestigious carrier like Cargolux that will add a range of unique and important destinations to our network. And even within the first hours of cooperation, we have already received the first requests on Cargolux flights, says Andrius Antanaitis, Strike Aviation General Manager.
-We are now starting sales and marketing of Cargolux' services adding over-size shipments capabilities to our markets. Also we have set up a trucking schedule connecting the three Baltic markets with Luxembourg, initially offering four weekly import/export services by a Baltic trucking company.
-We have seen growth in our business over the last years and have high expectations for 2017 as well. To better serve the three Baltic markets, we are now in the process of opening a third office in Tallinn, Riga, adding to our current setup with offices in Riga and Vilnius, says Mr Antanaitis.
