Sep 21, 2016 (newstodate): With the start of services between Beijing and Warsaw, Air China has further cemented its leading role among Chinese carriers operating flights to Europe.
With the first flight on September 21, 2016, Air China is offering four weekly rotations between China and Poland in cooperation with its Star Alliance partner LOT that operates three weekly flights on the route.
Air China has now 200 weekly flights on 24 routes to Europe, serving destinations including one in Scandinavia - Stockholm in Sweden.
For a long time, Air China also planned to launch flights from Beijing to Copenhagen, in Denmark, last scheduled to start from June 2, 2012, with four weekly rotations.
But despite the opening of bookings from the end of 2011, the carrier in February 2012 decided to call off the service and entering instead a code-share agreement with SAS.
