Aug 03, 2016 (newstodate): Newcomer to the Czech Republic's Prague Airport will be Sichuan Airlines, the airport's third Chinese airline customer.
With the first scheduled flight on August 12, 2016, the carrier will be offering two weekly rotations on the route connecting Chengdu and Prague with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Earlier, the start-up date was reported to be February 25, 2016, but this was later changed due to issues with traffic rights.
On June 23, 2016, China Eastern Airlines launched services on a new regular direct scheduled service connecting Prague and Shanghai, with three weekly rotations also operated with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The first Chinese carrier at Prague Airport was Hainan Airlines flying in from Beijing since September 23, 2015 offering three weekly rotations with Boeing 767 aircraft.
