Aug 22, 2016 (newstodate): Russia is hoping to see the opening of the Indian market for its Superjet 100 aircraft.
To ease the introduction of the aircraft into the market, Russia will propose to set up a production line in India to infuse technological and production capabilities as well as aiming at future supplies of jointly produced equipment to third countries.
Sukhoi thus expects to sign a contract later this year with Tata Advanced System to manufacture key aircraft parts in India.
Sukhoi's target is to sell at least 50 Superjet 100 aircraft to Indian operators over the next three to five years.
