Aug 09, 2016 (newstodate): The seventh Airbus A350 for Finnair has now finally been moved to flight line, awaiting the start of the test flight program prior to delivery.
Long overdue, the completion of the aircraft was delayed by long waiting times for cabin equipment as production snags on the part of Airbus' suppliers have still not been overcome.
Earlier scheduled for July 2016, the delivery of the aircraft will now probably be in October.
With currently six Airbus A350 aircraft in the fleet, Finnair is now the second-largest operator of the aircraft, only overtaken by Qatar Airways with 10 aircraft delivered.
So far, Airbus has handed 321 Airbus A350 aircraft over to customers.
