Aug 05, 2016 (newstodate): Serbia's Belgrade Airport is to be put up for a tender - and the response seems to be quite positive.
So far, eight international companies have been reported as potential bidders, including the German company Fraport, the French Vinci and Bouygues, as well as two companies from the United Arab Emirates and three Chinese companies.
The tender will offer a concession for 25-30 years of commercial management of the airport that will boost the development and expansion of the facilities to generate more revenues through fresh investments.
It is understood the the winner of the tender will undertake the construction of a new terminal, runway and supporting infrastructure including a hotel, a new cargo center, and a car park.
