Aug 22, 2016 (newstodate): The Irish LCC Ryanair is to commence flights at Norway's Oslo Airport from October 30, 2016, starting out with four flights daily to London Stansted and Vilnius.
Until earlier this year, the carrier was operating at Oslo Rygge Airport as its 37th base, officially opened on March 30, 2010, but decided to pull out in protest against Norway's introduction of a new seat tax, and this has forced to airport to shut down entirely from November 1, 2016, as Ryanair was its last remaining airline customer.
Ryanair has now contracted Aviation to provide handling of its aircraft at the capital's Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
