Aug 24, 2016 (newstodate): The leisure carrier Primera Air is announcing the opening of more flights from Billund Airport, Denmark, in the summer schedule 2017.
With the first flight flight om April 20, 2017, Primera Air will be operating a weekly rotation from Billund to Funchal, Madeira, via Bergen in Norway, and one weekly rotation from Billund to Lisbon.
Starting from May 7, 2017, Primera Air will offer two weekly rotations on a new route from Billund to Alicante, and Primera Air will also launch flights from May 9, 2017, from Billund to Kalamata, in Greece, with one weekly rotation on the route.
New on the Primera Air in the coming winter 2016/17 schedule will also be one weekly rotation from Billund as well as from Copenhagen to Santa Cruz de la Palma on the Canary Islands, starting from October 27, 2016.
All flights will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Primera Air opened Billund Airport as an operating base in August 2008 with the allocation of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft for operations for Danish charter companies and tour operators.
In 2016, Primera Air operates to over 70 destinations with a fleet of eight Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and plans are to add a further two aircraft in 2017 to meet growing demand in the markets.
