Aug 16, 2016 (newstodate): One airport handling company at Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Sweport is to close down after only few years in business.
The company was established in 2013 by NextJet and Hoga Kusten Flyg, to provide NextJet's operations at Stockholm Arlanda with ramp handling, check-in and passenger services.
NextJet has, however, remained the company's sole customer, rendering operations unprofitable.
Consequently, the cooperation will be ended by September 25, 2016, and NextJet has signed a contract with Aviator to take over the operations.
Aviator was actually earlier provider of handling services to NextJet from 2005 until the set-up of Sweport as an effort by NextJet to enhance quality and drive down costs..
