Aug 01, 2016 (newstodate): As of today, the management of Norway's Bodoe Airport has passed from military to civilian hands.
So far, the airport has been a military air force base with commercial flights, but the operational responsibility will now be passed to Avinor.
Avinor will buy a range of pertinent services including fire and rescue, apron services and e.g. IT-services from external suppliers.
Military operations will remain at the airport as well, at least until 2021.
Bodoe Airport has one 2,794m runway and handled 1.7 mio passengers and 2,273 tonnes of cargo in 2015.
