Aug 03, 2016 (newstodate): Air China has now obtained approval from CAAC of its application for launching scheduled flights to Poland.
While no official announcement has yet been made by Air China as for its start of services, expectations are that the first flight may be performed already in September 2016.
The carrier's plans include four weekly rotations between Beijing and Warsaw, operated with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Already offering flights on the route is the Polish carrier LOT, starting from from May 29, 2012, using Boeing 787 aircraft.
Direct non-stop flights between the two capitals were first provided by the Polish airline LOT from March 30, 2008, but suspended after only one month due to lack of Russian overflight rights.
