Aug 18, 2016 (newstodate): Finnair has returned to a strong growth in cargo volumes in 2016 - but darker skies are looming over its cargo business.
In July 2016, the carrier's cargo volume was up by 15.9 percent, y-o-y, in July, and at 59 percent the cargo load factor was also up 2.7 percentage-points.
And during the first seven months of 2016, volumes rose by 14.9 percent, y-o-y, to 83,925 tonnes.

-The cargo traffic volume grew considerably: revenue tonne kilometers increased by 20.3 per cent while available cargo tonne kilometers
increased by 9.8 per cent, the Report states.
-However, as a result of the weak market climate, average cargo yields declined, and cargo traffic revenue decreased by 5.6 percent, y-o-y, amounting to 42.6 million euros.
