Aug 03, 2016 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo has been rolling out its e-AWB capabilities from this summer.
Starting from July 1, 2016, Finnair Cargo shipments on the routes between Helsinki and New York as well between Helsinki and Hong Kong are now traveling on e-AWBs, making the electronic platform the preferred option.
Next in the pipeline will be Finnair Cargo shipments on the route between Helsinki and Geneva that will go on-line with e-AWB from October 1, 2016.
Finnair Cargo launched the drive for e-AWB on August 14, 2014, as part of the Nordic Single Process e-AWB project lead by IATA and multiple airlines including Air France/KLM/Martinair Cargo, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Cargo, Emirates, Finnair, Iberia, Icelandair, Korean Air Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo, Qatar Airways, and SAS Cargo.
