Aug 24, 2016 (newstodate): Budapest Airport and DHL Express have signed a strategic 20-years agreement for the development of a new facility for Deutsche Post DHL Group in Hungary.
This is the second large-scale investment by Budapest Airport and DP DHL, after DHL's freight forwarding business units moved into a new 11,000 sq m facility comprising 8,000 sq m of warehouse space and 3,000 sq m of office space in the Airport Business Park in 2013.
Already in progress is the construction of a new 13,000 sq m warehouse and office complex dedicated to DHL Express at Budapest Airport.
Today, DHL Express operates a daily Airbus A300-600F flight connecting Budapest with the main European hub in Leipzig, and a daily Boeing 737 freighter carrying inbound volumes from Brussels.
