Aug 29, 2016 (newstodate): The Kyrgyz carrier Avia Traffic is taking steps to switch from Boeing to Airbus aircraft.
In the fleet now are three Boeing 737 aircraft operating a network comprising domestic routes as well as routes to Russia and China and neighboring countries in the Central Asian region.
The airline has now taken delivery of its first Airbus A320 aircraft to be put on Kyrgyz registry within a few weeks prior to the introduction on specific routes, and a second Airbus A320 is expected before the end of this year, while one Boeing 737-300 aircraft will be retired early in 2017.
Avia Traffic is the country's largest carrier but remains on the EU Blacklist barring it from entering the EU markets.
