Jul 26, 2016 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport will be among the first airports in Europe, and certainly the first airport in Denmark, to see the introduction of the Russian Superjet 100 aircraft on scheduled flights.
Due to a shortage of pilots, Finnair is outsourcing certain European route segments to other providers, and during some periods flights from Helsinki to Billund, Warsaw and Geneva will thus be operated for Finnair by CityJet on a damp lease arrangement using the Superjet 100 on these routes.
The Finnair route between Helsinki and Billund will thus be operated with CityJet Superjet 100 aircraft during the last two weeks of August 2016.
CityJet has taken delivery of its two first Superjet 100 aircraft in May and June 2016, two more to follow in 2016, and the remaining 11 in 2017.
