Jul 29, 2016 (newstodate): The Icelandair Group-subsidiary Air Iceland has named a new Director Sales and Marketing: Gudmundur Oskarsson.
Leaving Icelandair after almost 11 years, last serving as the airline's Director Marketing and Business Development, Mr Oskarsson will take on his new responsibilities from August 2016.
Air Iceland is currently phasing in three new Bombardier Q400 aircraft that have placed the airline's Fokker F50 aircraft, and the higher sped and longer range of the Bombardier Q400 has enabled Air Iceland to add flights to Aberdeen in Scotland in co-operation with Icelandair as well as adding a new destination in Greenland from June 2016, Kangerlussuaq, which will be the company's fifth in addition to Kulusuk, Nuuk, Narsarsuaq and Ilulissat.
