Jul 27, 2016 (newstodate): With the first flight on July 14, 2016, the Lithuanian leisure carrier Small Planet Airlines added Mombasa Moi International Airport, in Kenya, as a new destination on its network.
The once-weekly Kenya-flights served with Airbus A321 aircraft depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport and operate with at a re-fueling stop at Hurghada, Egypt, on both directions.
The regular charter services will run till the end of November 2016.
Small Planet Airlines has thus become the second carrier to add new routes to the Mombasa Airport as Condor introduced direct flights from Munich Germany into Moi International Airport from June 2016.
Kenya has implemented an attractive incentive scheme to attract charter flights into the country, including a waiver of landing fees and a subsidy for every passenger flying directly into the country for leisure and business once their flights terminate their journey at Mombasa or Malindi.
