Jul 25, 2016 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo noted a significant increase in volumes in June 2016, with an overall increase by 17.3 percent, y-o-y, to 12,834 tonnes.
While available cargo tonne-kilometers were up by 10.8 percent, revenue cargo tonne-kilometers increased no less than 17.3 percent driving up the overall load factor to 60.7 percent.
In June, volumes on the Asian traffic were up 13.4 percent, y-o-y, to 8,051 tonnes, but on the N Atlantic traffic volumes boomed even more, up 38.8 percent to 866 tonnes.
European volumes increased by 35 percent to 2,333 tonnes, while cargo on freighter operations as well as purchased traffic was up 5.6 percent to 1,440 tonnes.
During the first half of 2016, the carrier has thus seen an increase by 14.7 percent, y-o-y, to 70,977 tonnes including 44,302 tonnes on the Asian traffic that was up 13.3 percents, y-o-y.
