Jul 29, 2016 (newstodate): Cargo volumes through Estonia's Tallinn Airport were falling during the first half of 2016.
A total of 6,363 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, which is down 7.2 percent, y-o-y.
In June alone the decline was no less than 29.2 percent, y-o-y, to a mere 1,039 tonnes, and only in three months the cargo volumes showed an increase over last year.
In January-June 2016, the decline in cargo was driven caused first of all by a drop in cargo imports, down 19.3 percent, y-o-y, to 3,767 tonnes, while cargo exports, 1,779 tonnes, did increase by 35.4 percent.
