Jun 10, 2016 (newstodate): Unexpectedly, WFS at Copenhagen Airport has announced that Thomas Petersen, WFS General Manager Denmark, has left the company.
Playing an instrumental role in the company's development in the Danish market, Mr Petersen joined WFS Denmark in November 2007 after more than 15 years with Singapore Airlines Cargo in Scandinavia.
-Worldwide Flight Services has been going through some changes lately. As a result, we regret to inform you that Mr Thomas Petersen is no longer working for WFS Denmark, the company says on its WFS Denmark website on June 7.
As an interim solution, Marc Claesen, WFS Regional Vice President, will hold the reins in Denmark, pending the appointment of a permanent successor to Mr Petersen expected to be announced by July 2016..
-It is really an internal affair, so we would rather not react to it, Mr Claesen says in response to a call by newstodate.
The "changes" referred to probably include the sale by LBO France of WFS the US equity fund Platinum Equity in spring 2015 that may spell deep-going changes in the organizational setup.
