Jun 29, 2016 (newstodate): Among the several providers of extra aircraft capacity to support Norwegian's summer operations is Denim Air, since January 18, 2016, owned by Sky Greenland.
-We have landed a contract with Norwegian to operate six daily rotations on the route between Oslo and Trondheim, says Sky Greenland CEO, Gert Brask.
-To this purpose, we have added one more Fokker 100 to the fleet of Denim in May this year, and after completion of the ongoing maintenance work, cabin refurbishment and paint, the aircraft will be ready for operation later his week, says Mr Brask.
Mr Brask earlier told newstodate that the aircraft will be based at Denmark's Aalborg Airport and offered on the ad-hoc charter market, as well as operating for Sky Greenland's own purposes including upcoming scheduled flights yet to be announced.
At the same same, Sky Greenland is looking into adding a further three Fokker 100 aircraft to its fleet, with negotiations currently going on.
Denim Air holds three AOCs covering Fokker 50, Fokker 100 and Embraer 145 aircraft.
