Jun 20, 2016 (newstodate): Yet unconfirmed, Polish carrier LOT is reportedly mulling hopes for start of services to a new Chinese destination.
According to a reporter from Polish Radio, LOT would start flights on a new route between Warsaw and Shenzhen, near the border to Hong Kong.
If realized, it would be a result from the Chinese president Xi Jinping's current visit to Poland in connection with his participation in the Silk Road Summit.
The news, if rumors turn true, would be in the form of the signing of a MoU on the route launch that would also require amendments to the existing air services agreement between the two countries.
So far, LOT's only destination in China remains Beijing, served from end of March 2008 after 10 years of absence.
