Jun 28, 2016 (newstodate): The Kyrgyz carrier Air Bishkek has had its AOC revoked, temporarily at least.
The decision by the Kyrgyz aviation authority to suspended the carrier's AOC is due to the carrier's lack of proof of its aircraft's airworthiness.
The airline now has until September to provide the documentation required, and failure to meet this deadline will lead to the permanent annulment of its AOC.
The airline's Airbus A320 aircraft has actually been out of service since earlier this year but was planning to reintroduce the aircraft in commercial service by April 2016, after completion of maintenance works.
The carrier has figured on EU's safety black list since 2006.
