Jun 21, 2016 (newstodate): The Norwegian cargo handling company Roadfeeders is to move into its new terminal at Oslo Airport in July 2016.
The official opening date has yet to be announced, but the ceremony will take place some day in August.
With the new 8,500 sq m facility, Roadfeeders will move all activities away from its existing off-airport terminal to the airport premises allowing for easy access to air-side operations and facilitating a smooth interface between flown and trucked air cargo handling.
-Even if the official opening is still some time away, news of the coming competitor at Oslo Airport has spread, and we are already approached by new potential customers that will bring fresh companies into Oslo Airport, says Lene Mellum, Roadfeeders Managing Director and member of the family-led ownership group.
-There is definitely a need for more competition in cargo handling at Oslo Airport that has not seen many new operators for quite some time. We do aspire to bring about new growth and development to serve the country's exporters and trade partners, says Ms Mellum.
Among airline customers of Roadfeeders are Norwegian, KLM/AF Cargo, British Airways, United and Finnair.
