Jun 03, 2016 (newstodate): Cargo volumes are growing steeply at Iceland's Keflavik Airport in 2016.
During the first four months of this year, the airport handled a total of 15,696 tonnes of cargo which is a growth by 11.7 percent, y-o-y.
In April alone, the airport handled 3,706 tonnes of cargo, up 15.1 percent compared to the preceding year.
Passenger-wise, the airport is doing even better, with a total of 1.4 mio passengers during January-April 2016, an increase by 34.4 percent, y-o-y, with aircraft operations also increasing 23.5 percent during the period
